Coral Springs man arrested after allegedly strangling pregnant girlfriend during heated dispute inside their home

Coral Springs, Florida – A disagreement between a Coral Springs couple ended in violence last week, leaving a pregnant woman injured and her boyfriend facing serious felony charges. According to a police report, the incident took place on May 21 and escalated from a beach outing to an alleged physical attack inside the couple’s home.
The woman, who is eight weeks pregnant, told police she and her boyfriend, 31-year-old Tevin Green, began arguing while driving to the beach. As the argument grew heated, she asked him to turn the car around and return home. The confrontation reportedly intensified once they arrived back at the residence.
Inside the living room, Green allegedly knocked over a table in a burst of anger. The woman told investigators that he then placed both hands around her neck and forced her to the ground. “She said she struggled to breathe and feared she would pass out,” the report stated.
Despite her condition, the woman was able to push Green off and run out of the house. She later returned once Green had left the scene and called the police to report the incident. When officers arrived, they documented red marks on the woman’s neck and observed broken glass and a flipped table in the home, supporting her version of events.
Police said her injuries were consistent with having been strangled. Green, however, gave a different account. He admitted to pushing the woman during their argument but denied choking her. He claimed she had jumped on him from behind and also told officers that he was the one who called 911.
Both individuals were transported to Broward Health Coral Springs. Green received medical clearance while the woman was treated for her injuries.
Following the investigation, Green was arrested and booked into the Broward County Jail. He now faces two serious charges: domestic battery by strangulation and aggravated battery on a pregnant victim.
Authorities have not released further information about the condition of the woman or the unborn child. As the legal process moves forward, Coral Springs police are continuing their investigation.
