Coral Springs kicks off school supply drive to provide essential resources for local students ahead of the new school year

Coral Springs, Florida – As the start of the school year approaches, the city of Coral Springs is taking proactive steps to support students in need by launching a school supply drive. The initiative is designed to ensure that local families can provide their children with the necessary tools for academic success, regardless of financial circumstances.

The drive is open for donations through August 5, encouraging residents to contribute new school supplies that will help students start the year strong. Donations can be dropped off at three convenient locations around the city: City Hall (9500 W. Sample Rd), the Center for the Arts (2855 Coral Springs Dr), and the Panthers IceDen (3299 Sportsplex Dr).

The city is asking for a range of school essentials, from basic items like pencils and notebooks to more specialized products such as flash drives, tissues, and hand soap. All donated items must be new, ensuring that each student receives the most effective tools to support their learning experience.

“We want to make sure all students, no matter their background, have the supplies they need to succeed as the school year begins,” a city representative explained. The initiative aims to foster a sense of community, offering an opportunity for residents to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students in need.

For those looking to contribute, a full list of accepted items can be found on the city’s website, providing clarity and helping donors understand exactly what is needed.
