Disaster recovery center opened in Delray Beach
Delray Beach, Florida – Hurricane Ian was the most devastating hurricane the state of Florida has seen in the last eight decades. It was responsible for considerable damage to houses and businesses and also resulted in over 140 deaths.
Even though over two months have passed since the hurricane made landfall, the recovery and relief efforts for those affected are still ongoing. As part of those efforts, officials opened over 20 disaster recovery centers throughout Florida, which are designed to help disaster survivors start their recovery from Hurricane Ian.
The latest disaster recovery center was opened in Palm Beach County, where applicants may visit for information about FEMA or other disaster assistance programs or for questions related to their case.
Residents, homeowners, and business owners who were impacted by Hurricane Ian can visit the center without making an appointment and get assistance when submitting applications for disaster loans and federal assistance, as well as learn about additional options that are available and they might benefit from.
The disaster recovery center in Delray Beach can be found at the Hagen Ranch Road Library at 14350 Hagen Ranch Road. Those impacted by the hurricane may visit it on workdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
