Man who was regularly seen carrying a small ax went to his 93-year-old grandma’s home where he “snapped” because he thought she altered the bacon he was eating and used the hatchet to inflict seven cuts to her head

Court records show that a 43-year-old man was sentenced for the murder of his 93-year-old grandmother in a disturbing and violent incident. The case involved bizarre allegations and a brutal act of violence.

The 43-year-old man, identified as Dustin, was sentenced to 26 years in prison for second-degree murder. His victim was none other than his grandmother, Stella, who was 93 years old at the time of her death. The case took a particularly grim turn with the revelation that Dustin had used a small ax when committing the murder. According to reports, the motive behind this heinous act was because Dustin thought his grandmother had “altered” his bacon.

The details of the case came to light on September 13, 2022, when deputies received a call to conduct a welfare check at Stella’s residence. What they discovered upon entering the home was a scene of clear homicidal violence. Authorities received the request for a welfare check from Stella’s daughter and another family member, who went to the elderly woman’s home to pick up something when they heard screams from inside and shortly later observed Dustin on the deck acting very strange.

The investigation quickly focused on Dustin. Witnesses reported him being regularly seen with a hatchet, and he had previously shown aggressive behavior with the weapon. When the police confronted Dustin, he made a shocking admission. He first accused his grandmother of sexually abusing him as a child and claimed she continued to harass him into adulthood. He also made strange claims about being followed by drones and undergoing surgeries without his recollection. No evidence was found to support his allegations of scarring from supposed surgeries. Dustin eventually said his grandmother had somehow tampered with his bacon, which led him to “lose it” and commit the murder.

The legal proceedings culminated with Dustin pleading guilty to one count of second-degree murder. His sentence of 26 years brings some closure to a case that has shocked the community.
