Charlie Crist will announce his running mate at a Miami rally

In his campaign to unseat Governor Ron DeSantis, Democratic gubernatorial nominee Charlie Crist will make the announcement of his choice for a running mate today.

It is expected that Crist will make the announcement at 10:30 a.m. at a rally in Miami, which will mark the official launch of his campaign for the general election.

Crist won Tuesday night’s primary, defeating Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried.

Before he switched parties and became a Democrat, he had already completed one term as governor with the Republican Party, which ran from 2007 to 2011.
