Broward Sheriff’s Office investigates shooting on South State Road 7

In the early hours of Friday morning, a woman was rushed to a nearby hospital after the car she was driving was shot at in North Lauderdale.

The incident occurred on the 1100 block of South State Road 7 at approximately 3:45 a.m. and prompted an urgent response from Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies.

According to eyewitness accounts, the victim managed to flee to a nearby gas station, where Circle K attendant Everett Gordon offered his assistance in calling 911. “She came and she cried out to me, ‘help me, somebody help me, I’ve been shot!'” Gordon recalled. “I walked faster, went to make the call, called paramedics and the cops. And when I called she collapsed right there.”

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the wounded woman and her car, which bore at least one bullet hole on the driver’s side. Although the victim has not yet been identified, officials have confirmed that she was not shot, but suffered injuries from shattered glass from the car’s window.

As of now, no further information has been released, and the shooting remains under investigation. Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation. This is a developing story, and we will keep you updated as more details become available.
