Critical repair works ongoing after Pembroke Pines water main break

Pembroke Pines, Florida – Maintenance operations are underway in the aftermath of a water main rupture in Pembroke Pines, leading to widespread flooding concerns in the area.

In a statement released on Monday morning, the Pembroke Pines Police Department affirmed that Southwest Third Street — stretching between Southwest 69th Terrace and 70th Avenue — is currently inaccessible to traffic. The blockage is due to the ongoing efforts by specialized teams to rectify the issue concerning the water main.

The specific location of the water main fracture is reported as 6900 SW Third St.

The local law enforcement and members of the Pembroke Pines Fire Department were quick to respond to the site, accompanied by a dedicated crew from the Water Department.

It is anticipated that the repair work will be finalized by approximately 1 p.m.
