Clay County man facing armed robbery charges

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Last week, a man was taken into custody by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office on charges of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon.

On October 20th, 19-year-old D’eareo Harris was taken into custody and transported to the Clay County Jail.

Investigators who were assigned to the robbery murder team on September 23 started looking into a string of three distinct criminal crimes that occurred at Q.Q. Spa in Middleburg over the course of about one month, according to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators thought that a single person, who was later identified as D’eareo, was responsible for all of the charges, but they couldn’t be sure because he hid his identity while committing the crimes.

According to the investigators, they were able to immediately identify D’eareo as the culprit in all three events because of the comprehensive investigation tactics they used.

Sheriff Cook states, “As always, we implore our community to help us identify those who would prey on others within our community. It takes all of us working together to keep our community safe.”
