Driver found guilty on several counts of vehicular homicide

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A jury found a motorist guilty on Tuesday of striking and killing a family of four in Delray Beach more than four years ago.The driver was found guilty of four counts of vehicular homicide.

Paul Streater was arrested on various accusations in July 2018, including four counts of DUI manslaughter and four counts of vehicular murder. These allegations stem from an incident that occurred in July 2018.

The jury reached a verdict of not guilty on all five charges of DUI manslaughter and on all three counts of DUI driving causing or contributing to harm.

Streater, who was 21 at the time of the crash, was driving his 2010 Chevy Silverado at more than 100 mph in a speed zone of 45 mph when he rear-ended a 2018 Dodge Caravan on South Federal Highway, killing two children and two adults, according to Delray Beach police. Streater was driving his 2010 Chevy Silverado.

The sentencing has been scheduled for December 20 at 8:30 in the morning before Judge Jeff Gillen.
